Why Client-Side Compression Matters
🔒 Your Images Never Leave Your Browser
Every tool on this page — all 15 of them — uses the same 100% client-side processing engine. Your images are compressed entirely inside your web browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on our servers, and nothing is analyzed.
This matters most for the sensitive use cases we serve: passport photos for visa applications, employee IDs for corporate HR systems, signatures for legal documents, and unreleased product photos for e-commerce sellers. With Zrekot, these never touch a third-party server.

How Zrekot's Compression Engine Works
Every tool in this hub shares the same advanced compression engine. Here is what happens when you click "Compress":
- Decode: Your image is loaded into memory as a high-resolution bitmap — no network round-trip.
- Resize (if applicable): If the tool has dimension controls, the image is first scaled to your target dimensions.
- Binary search: The engine tries multiple quality levels, narrowing down to find the highest quality that fits under your target file size. This is why the output is the sharpest possible at the size you need.
- Parallel processing: Up to 3 images compress simultaneously using Web Workers, so a batch of 100 photos finishes in seconds.
- ZIP packaging: When the batch is done, all files are bundled into a single .ZIP for one-click download.
